Top 10 Cutest Instagrammable Cafés in London
You’ve probably seen them all over Instagram: London’s cutest cafés. From stunning flower decorations to unicorn lattes, any reason is good to stop by one (or many) of them. During my 4-day stay in the city, I tried to go to as many places as possible. Below, I compiled a list of all the ones I’ve either tried and/or walked by. I hope you enjoy, and feel free to comment if there is any other cute spot that I didn’t mention, I will add them to the list for my next trip :)
1. ÉL&N Café Hans Crescent - Knightsbridge
There are actually six of them in London, and they all have their own little touch. This one has two beautiful caves decorated with dozens of pink hearts. These reminded me of the Canadian peppermint pink candies. This café has two floors; the nicest tables are located on the bottom floor, but the main floor has a flower wall with a few unicorns that you can pose with ;)
2. The Knot Churros - South Kensington
Like most other spots, I discovered this place on Instagram, and instantly added it to the list when I saw it was all about churros. Being a big fan of anything deep fried, I figured I would pop by and try their delicious creations. It turns out they serve some churros with ice cream and cotton candy. I tried the one named “Under the Sea” which was served with vanilla ice cream, strawberry chocolate, blue cotton candy, and lots of edible glitter. I loved it !
3. Peggy Porschen - Belgravia
Probably London’s most famous flower entrance. To be completely honest, I didn’t try their food because otherwise I would have gone into an intense food coma. I visited so many places in such a few days. 🙈 I went there super early in the morning so the place wasn’t open yet and there was nobody in front aside from construction workers who probably thought I was weirdo taking photos with her tripod at 8:00AM.
4. ÉL&N Café Marketplace - Fitzrovia
The second Élan Café that I tried on this trip, probably a little bit more quiet than the first one, and in a cuter area. The flower decorations didn’t disappoint either, and my waiter had a really great sense of humour. They make all their cakes in house, and they are absolutely delicious. I got myself the pistachio and rose cake and it was yummy. I also decided I needed even more sugar because I had just walked all day so I decided to get myself a Lucky Charms latte as well.
5. Aubaine Selfridges - Marylebone
Okay, when it comes to mastering the art of flower decoration, this place wins! It is absolutely gorgeous. I’m a big big fan of the purple colour so I was pleased when I walked in there. My recommendation is to go for breakfast early during the week, and arrive right when it opens. That way you’ll get the best seat :) Their avocado breakfast was yummy.
6. The Dalloway Terrace - Fitzrovia
This beautiful terrace is part of the Bloomsbury Hotel, a boutique hotel in the heart of London. They change their decor every season to match colours with the weather which I think is very cool. That means you can go back many times, and get a different backdrop every time. The service was classy and impeccable, and the food delicious. I visited for breakfast and got myself their buttermilk pancakes.
7. Feya - Marylebone
Not very far from Aubaine Selfridge is Feya, and yep, just when you thought you couldn’t get more innovative with flowers. Here is all about white and gold tones. They made it look like there is a flower tree that blooms both inside and outside the café. I went there with my friend Zoe for a late afternoon tea, but ended up getting myself their mermaid smoothie, which was unbelievably good.
8. BubbleWrap Waffle - China Town
Now that one is actually not a café, but I figured I would put it on the list because I think it’s a great place to stop if you’re hungry for a little sweet snack. Located in the heart of China Town, this place makes waffle cones, which they fill with different flavours of ice cream and toppings.
9. Saint Aymes - Soho
Saint Aymes is yet another gorgeous flower café that serves all sorts of delicious food and drinks. Unfortunately when I got there, they were about to close so we couldn’t come in and sit at a table. I’ll definitely have to come back to try out their afternoon tea!
10. Neal’s Yard 26 Grains - Covent Garden
Last but not least is this little gem located near Covent Garden. Neal’s Yard in itself is worth stopping by, it’s this cute little square hidden in the middle of downtown. My advice is to get there early in the morning, you’ll have the place to yourself. There are a few small restaurants that all looked really good, but people were lining up to get their food from 26 Grains. I forgot to take a photo of the café because I was to busy enjoying this hidden gem to myself :)
