Spring is approaching real fast, and with this season comes my annual trip to New York City. Ever since I drove there for the very first time with a group of friends 3 years ago, I made sure to transform this journey into a yearly tradition. First of all, because I still consider that I have seen nothing yet. New York is one of these places where you can never get bored or tired; there’s always something new to do. 

There are activities for all types of personalities; whether you are a foodie, an adventurer, an art lover, a party animal or a business traveler, you will always find something exciting to do in the Big Apple. It’s one of those cities where you feel very little and realize how big and awesome our world is.

So far, I’ve explored Manhattan almost exclusively. Here are some of the things I preferred.

Walking around Battery Park & the Financial District

I really liked that neighbourhood; it’s very calm compared to places like Times Square and other touristic spots. That’s where you can now find the new World Trade Center tower.

Exploring some museums

There are museums for everybody, no matter what type of art you prefer (the Metropolitan Museum, MoMA, Guggenheim, etc.)

Wandering around Central Park

This place has got to be my favourite. It’s so big, you have a lot of space to wander around. I really like visiting it in the spring because there are dozens of flower trees.

Going on top of the Rockefeller Center

This one is very cliché, but it really gives you the best view of New York city.

One really cool thing to do is to go for walk on the bridge, and cross to the other side. Once you get to Brooklyn, you will see a few parks by the river. From there you can admire epic sunsets over Manhattan.

The possibilities are almost endless in NYC.

And trust me, this will happen. There are so many places to explore: Times Square, Little Italy, China Town, SoHo, and many more.

What’s fun about New York City is that every time I go, I feel like it’s the first time. Some parts of the city are so old, and others so modern, it’s like a clash between two worlds. This year I will be visiting a friend in Williamsburg, and I can’t wait to get a taste of what Brooklyn has to offer too :)
